Yoann Richomme, sailing on PAPREC ARKÉA, has achieved the fastest average speed over the last 24 hours in the Vendée Globe, reaching 21.86 knots, and feels he might be on the verge of a breakthrough.
Current leader Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance has significantly decelerated as he approaches the longitude of Cape Leeuwin, while second-placed Sébastien Simon on Groupe Dubreuil is hindered by a damaged starboard foil.
