In February, luxury center-console manufacturer Valhalla Boatworks announced they will construct a new Valhalla 55 center console to expand their growing lineup.

The newest flagship of the V Series is set to become the industry’s leading center console over 50 feet, boasting what Viking Yachts President and CEO Pat Healey claims to be unrivaled performance, range, engineering, fishability, and luxurious accommodations.

“There will be nothing comparable,” said Healey, who shared the announcement at the Viking Yachts & Valhalla Boatworks VIP Boat Show at the Viking Yacht Service Center. “We are establishing a new benchmark by merging the features of a large center console with those of a luxury sportfishing yacht.”

Since its inception in 2019 by Viking Yachts, the manufacturer has already introduced the V-33, V-37, V-41, and most recently, the V-46.

ValhallaThe V-55 is versatile enough for various roles—including an offshore tournament contender, a high-performance sport yacht, a fish-and-cruise express, or a tender for a Viking or superyacht. It is powered by quadruple or quintuple Mercury 7.6-liter V12 600-hp Verado outboards.

“This boat was crafted and engineered specifically for these engines,” stated Lonni Rutt, Viking’s Vice President of Design and Engineering. “We created a transom and structure to support the weight and power. We prepared for—and are collaborating with—the technology rather than merely adjusting to it.”

The V-55 features the largest center console with a stepped-V tunnel hull designed by Michael Peters Yacht Design and will soon hold the title of the largest resin-infused center-console boat available.

Valhalla v55With a beam of 15’6”, the Valhalla will have the widest beam in the 50- to 60-foot range. Additional features comprise up to nine helm chairs arranged in two rows, a private stateroom with a head and separated shower, and a Seakeeper 9 for a comfortable day on the water.

The V-55 can be customized with a gap tower from Palm Beach Towers (a Viking company) or a fold-down marlin tower with a removable sunshade. The hardtop package includes a variety of fishing and navigational features and equipment, like an integrated electric teaser reel box, a six-rod rocket launcher, and molded-in pods for spreader lights, overhead electronics, and radar antennas. Valhalla provides factory-installed electronics packages from Garmin or Simrad.

Construction on hull No. 1 is slated to commence this summer, with the V-55 anticipated to make its global debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in late October.
