The Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta, organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and title-sponsored by Giorgio Armani, is set for 27th to 31st May 2025, marking the opening of the Mediterranean superyacht racing season in the last week of May.
New eligibility standards will be introduced for the next Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta. Starting in 2025, the regatta will accommodate yachts with a minimum length of 80 feet, aligning with other races in the superyacht circuit.
Title sponsor Giorgio Armani will enhance the regatta atmosphere with a pop-up boutique featuring the Giorgio Armani Mare collection in Piazza Azzurra, and a gala dinner set against the panoramic views from the YCCS terrace.
The strong collaboration with Southern Wind Shipyard persists, as next year’s event will again host the Southern Wind Rendezvous & Trophy — a casual sailing event for the shipyard’s owners. Each year, they convene in Porto Cervo for this unique gathering, characterized by elegance and camaraderie.
As a natural progression of the event, alongside the Superyacht Racing division, a new Corinthian Spirit division is being introduced for those wishing to compete with a cruising setup, facilitating easier yacht preparations and reducing the necessity for professional racers onboard.
The 2025 Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta also aims to introduce various new initiatives onshore, catering to both returning and first-time participants with a refreshed format.
The official announcement of the Giorgio Armani Superyacht Regatta 2025, along with other events in the superyacht circuit, will occur during the Superyacht Racing Association Meeting scheduled for 18th November at METSTRADE in Amsterdam.
