Since Joseph C. Visconti acquired Twin Vee PowerCats three years ago, he has been relentlessly focused on enhancing the quality of the company’s boats. The recently launched 240 CC PowerCat is an excellent representation of this commitment to excellence.

Released as the Fort Pierce, Florida-based company celebrates its 25th anniversary, the catamaran has proven popular, with reports of 60 boats sold since its introduction. The appeal is clear as the catamaran effectively utilizes a 24-foot structure to offer significant features.

“(We) needed every feature you would find in a larger vessel,” stated Preston Yarborough, director of product development and vice president at Twin Vee. “It includes dual live wells and insulated coolers. We have efficiently utilized that area.”

For anglers, the 240 CC PowerCat offers significantly more deck space compared to a traditional V-bottom boat. If potential buyers are hesitant about piloting a catamaran, Yarborough suggests giving the 240 CC a try. The boat features excellent stability and fuel efficiency, he noted.

The 240 CC is powered by twin 115-hp Suzuki outboard motors. In factory testing, the boat with 150-hp engines achieved a range exceeding 200 miles at 34 mph, utilizing its 90-gallon fuel tank. The 240 CC accelerated from 0 to 30 mph in just 5.82 seconds.

The 240 CC comes with an array of standard features essential for anglers, such as a 30-gallon fish box equipped with a macerator, a 10-gallon insulated cooler, a 36-gallon live well, and built-in rod holders. Additional storage options include 110-quart bins in the bow, as well as insulated coolers located in both the bow and stern.

The helm area includes essentials like tilt hydraulic steering, a secure storage compartment, USB charging ports, a Ritchie Voyager compass, and 13 toggle switches with blue backlighting. The two-person helm seat is designed with footrests and can be used both standing and sitting. Twin Vee offers an aluminum Weblon Soft Top or a fiberglass T-top as an upgrade. The fiberglass T-top includes features such as an anchor light, spreader light, rocket launchers, electronics box, and outrigger pads.

Seating is plentiful on the 24-foot vessel, with a two-person seat in front of the console and expansive wraparound seating in the bow. Cushions and backrests are removable to create additional space for battling fish. Buyers can choose between a 65-inch folding stern beach seat or an 85-inch Engel cooler.

To access the transom, Twin Vee has incorporated a walk-through with an entry door. A stainless-steel multistep ladder is conveniently stored when not in use.

The 240 CC PowerCat features an 8’8” beam, making it easy to tow—a desirable trait for buyers who face long drives to reach their preferred launch ramps.

Since Visconti took the reins of the company, much of the hardware is manufactured in-house, ensuring quality control. Twin Vee boasts five CNC machines and is capable of thermoforming hatches and other components. The company utilizes high-grade stainless-steel cleats and Gemlux tension hinges throughout the catamaran.

The 240 CC PowerCat is a versatile option, and with a base price of $84,680, it represents great value for the average boater.
