Sunreef Yachts has presented the first glimpse of the interiors of its revolutionary hybrid catamaran, the Ultima 111, which was unveiled just two months ago. Recently released images from the luxury yacht maker highlight the vessel’s tranquil and elegant interior features, including the impressive owner’s stateroom and the spacious main saloon.
The Ultima 111, measuring 36.25 meters, is a result of a design collaboration between Sunreef and acclaimed Dutch firm Phathom Studio, emphasizing both interior and exterior design. This catamaran premiered at the Cannes Yachting Festival in September and will be built at Sunreef’s state-of-the-art facility in Ras al-Khaimah, UAE. It is set to be the flagship of Sunreef’s Ultima line, recognized for its combination of performance, elegance, and sustainability.
Featuring contemporary design elements, the yacht’s interior offers two unique color palettes. The exterior boasts subtle automotive details with a sleek grey hull and black glass framework. Inside, the design ethos emphasizes ‘gentle boldness,’ blending vibrant aesthetics with soothing environments. This philosophy contrasts dynamic features with soft, natural elements, resulting in spaces that are both invigorating and calming.
Material selections prioritize durability and environmental sustainability, focusing on natural resources that support a circular economy. The interior showcases a refined blend of earthy colors and textures, enriching the living experience with warmth and biophilic influences.
“We know our market and have really defined luxury catamarans,” stated Francis Lapp, founder and president of Sunreef. “Collaborating with Phathom’s talented team lets us present innovative concepts while remaining faithful to our brand’s core, and we expect the Ultima 111 will appeal to a broad audience.”
Phathom’s interior design features warm, tactile materials combined with organic curves that foster a sense of well-being, making the living areas both contemporary and welcoming.
The Ultima 111 has all guest accommodations situated above the hulls for optimized space and connectivity to the sea, enhanced by large panoramic windows. The owner’s suite offers exclusive access to a foredeck terrace positioned between the hulls.
The main saloon impresses with high ceilings and ample glass, while sliding doors open to a vibrant indoor-outdoor dining area, featuring fold-down balconies. A sophisticated marble bar and cozy seating complete the inviting ambiance.
The vessel also boasts a spacious upper deck lounge surrounded by glass, promoting a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces, complemented by an open-concept atrium staircase that improves connectivity within the yacht. Thoughtful crew flow design ensures both privacy and efficiency.
Additionally, Sunreef has revealed that the Ultima 111 will feature hybrid propulsion options – a forward-thinking choice in the 30-40 meter category. The superstructure’s horizontal surfaces can accommodate high-performance solar panels designed to generate enough power to run the yacht’s systems quietly throughout the night.
The outstanding beach club at the stern, enhanced with fold-down wings, significantly expands relaxation space, while a hidden drive-in garage can store a tender up to 5.5 meters in length – ensuring a tidy appearance when not in use. Guests can also enjoy a luxurious glass-walled hot tub with sun pads, ideal for soaking up breathtaking views.
Sunreef acknowledges its ecological responsibility and has incorporated sustainable practices throughout the yacht, such as recycled materials to improve strength while reducing weight. Options for renewable fibers and recyclable materials will be part of the yacht’s construction, affirming a commitment to environmental stewardship.
“The Ultima 111, complemented by its striking interior, embodies all the characteristics associated with Sunreef yachts – efficiency, spaciousness, and opulent comfort with minimal energy consumption,” Lapp concluded, emphasizing the distinctive qualities of their catamarans.
Sunreef Yachts was established by Francis Lapp in 2002 in Gdansk, Poland. Since then, the shipyard has been designing and constructing luxury sailing and power multihulls.
