This month, Sportsman Boats is introducing the brand-new Open 352 Center Console, a groundbreaking vessel that the South Carolina-based manufacturer is promoting as its new flagship.

The Open 352 is now the biggest model in the company’s range of center consoles and bay boats, which start at 21 feet. This model was unveiled during the company’s eighth annual Dealer Sales Training Event and will be showcased to the public at the Progressive Baltimore Boat Show (January 23-26) and the Miami International Boat Show (February 13-17).

“Designing a new boat and visualizing all its details on paper is one thing, but when you see that design come to life and experience it firsthand, it surpasses anything you could have imagined,” said Tommy Hancock, president of Sportsman Boats. “The Open 352 delivers on everything we aimed to achieve when we initiated this project a year and a half ago. We are incredibly proud of the boat and even prouder of our talented team of world-class boat builders who brought this vision to fruition.”

Sportsman crafted the Open 352 to combine the best features for both entertaining and fishing. The rear cockpit has port and starboard dive doors for easy access. Two fold-down bench seats and a spacious removable fiberglass table provide an ideal spot for gatherings.

When it comes to fishing, simply stow the bench seats for access to two 234-quart in-floor insulated fish boxes, dual 30-gallon pressurized aquarium live wells with twin pump sea chest, and an 88-quart transom cooler. The boat is said to offer over 50 square feet of unobstructed cockpit space for fishing activities.

The manufacturer asserts that the Open 352 incorporates the most sophisticated glass helm they have ever developed. The SportLink Electronics Integration System provides space for dual 22” displays, with no switches on the dash due to SeaStar’s Maximus Digital Switching System, which integrates all 12-volt accessories into the Garmin display.

Triple adjustable captain’s chairs are included at the helm, and the console features a wrap-around tempered glass windshield with an actuated vent. The oversized fiberglass hardtop comes with two integrated Lumitec Razor lights and navigation lights.

Below the console, there’s a berth suitable for two adults, featuring amenities such as a built-in sink and shower, along with a porcelain toilet. A starboard window allows ample natural light, and Sportsman has incorporated integrated floor rod holders, capable of holding up to five rods.

“We required sufficient headroom within the console, but we didn’t want the console’s height to obstruct visibility. Thus, we had to innovate using our unique stringer system to find the perfect console height while allowing over 6 feet of headroom inside,” stated Jeff Hudson, director of product development for Sportsman Boats.

Sportsman constructs the Open 352 utilizing its SportTech Advanced Fabrication System—a proprietary method that employs resin-infusion technology to enhance quality, fit, and finish. This construction method enables the Seakeeper gyroscopic stabilizer to be optimally positioned, with access located in the rear cockpit area.

The Open 352 is offered in two engine options: either triple Yamaha 300s or a duo of Yamaha 425 XTO outboards. With a fuel capacity of 330 gallons, the 35-foot center console boasts impressive range.

Well-equipped, the Open 352 starts at a price of $295,905, and preorders for the model have already begun.

“Witnessing the team collaborate to produce such an exceptional boat excites me for the future of Sportsman Boats,” Hancock added.
