Sodebo Ultim 3 team compelled to delay their Jules Verne Trophy record attempt

On the afternoon of December 3, while the Sodebo Ultim 3 trimaran was approaching the equator, the crew, including Fred Denis, observed that they had lost their central rudder, which was flush with the hull.
Investigations are still ongoing on board to identify the extent of this damage, and the seven sailors are currently traveling to Lorient La Base to evaluate the situation and begin repairs with the Sodebo technical team.
Once the vessel is prepared, the crew, under the leadership of skipper Thomas Coville, will then consider going on standby again, hoping for a second departure before the end of January.
