The second Amels 80 has arrived at Damen Yachting’s facilities in Vlissingen, Netherlands, to commence outfitting work.

Damen Yachting reports that the superyacht arrived two weeks early, having departed from the shipyard in Galati, Romania earlier this month (August 5). It is scheduled for delivery to its “experienced owner” in May 2026.

Construction of the second hull started based on speculation, with the yacht having been sold to a buyer in December 2022.

The Amels 80 serves as the flagship of the builder’s well-known Limited Editions series. Its exterior design is by Espen Øino, while the “stylish” interiors of hull two are attributed to Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design.

Naval architecture is handled by Damen Yachting, incorporating “Hybrid by Amels” technology. The electric propulsion will enable cruising at comfortable speeds of up to seven knots while minimizing emissions, noise, and vibrations.

The yacht features a foredeck helicopter landing area.

The model boasts several standout elements, including a 200-square-metre sun deck, a dedicated owner’s deck, and a beach club that includes unfolding sea terraces.

With a volume of 2175GT, the yacht can accommodate up to 14 guests and 21 crew, providing ample storage for toys and tenders, alongside a foredeck helicopter landing space.

Unfolding sea terraces will enhance the beach club experience.

Hybrid technology will minimize emissions, noise, and vibrations.

Jan van Hogerwou, a commercial executive at Damen Yachting, expressed that it is an “honor” to have been assigned to this project. “Our mission is to enable this adventurous young family to explore and discover the world’s oceans while free-diving, spearfishing, scuba diving, and creating memories with family and friends aboard the new Amels 80 in complete comfort,” he stated.

Damen Yachting made headlines last month with the launch of the sixth Amels 60. Commissioned by a European owner, this unit is easily distinguished by its striking blue hull.
