Dubbed a “mega center console,” Scout Boats has introduced the 530 LXF, enhancing its esteemed LXF collection of high-end sportfish vessels that merge the capabilities of elite fishing boats with luxurious cruisers. This range features models ranging from 25 to 53 feet, with the 530 LXF standing out as the largest among them.
After two years of intensive development, Scout’s R&D team meticulously designed every facet of the 530 into a leading-edge mega center console experience.
This model boasts standard equipment such as a Seakeeper 6 gyro stabilizer; a distinctive glass helm enclosure featuring electronically sliding windows on both sides; an ingeniously crafted cockpit island complete with a forward-facing bench, retractable aft barstools, and amenities like a cooler, sink, and cutting board topped with granite; a Fischer Panda 15kW generator; 16,000 BTU air conditioning and heating systems in the cabin and helm; an electric sliding sunroof; and heated helm seats along with seat backs on both sides, among others.
Built on Scout’s efficient hull design made with carbon fiber epoxy infusion, the 530 boasts a double-stepped structure. The epoxy infusion technique using Carbon/E-glass is applied in the 530, 420, and 380 LXF models (a practice often found in the aerospace sector), which results in a Class A finish, enhancing stability while lowering the boat’s overall weight.
Buyers can choose between Yamaha or Mercury engines, but should anticipate outfitting the transom with multiple outboards. The 530 can accommodate between four and six motors, and with four on board, the boat is expected to cruise comfortably in the mid-50 mph range. For those seeking increased speed, five outboards can be chosen, which Scout claims should achieve speeds in the 60 mph vicinity.
“We aim for our customers to experience that ‘wow factor’ when they see our boats, when they interact with them, when they take the helm, and everything else in between,” stated Steve Potts, the founder and owner of Scout Boats. “The 530 is unlike any other vessel in its class, without question.”
