Scout Boats debuted the brand-new 400 LXF at the Miami International Boat Show in February, enhancing its growing LXF Collection of luxury sportfishing models.

This 39-foot vessel marks the eighth model in the LXF series, alongside the 255, 277, 305, 330, 355, 425, and 530 LXF models. According to Scout Boats, the collection merges high-performance fishing boats with upscale cruisers, providing features typically found in larger sportfishing yachts.

“We aim for our customers to experience that ‘wow factor’ when they see our models, when they interact with them, and when they captain them,” stated Scout President Dave Wallace.

The 400 LXF is constructed using epoxy infusion with carbon-fiber/e-glass materials, leading Scout to assert that it results in a boat that is stronger, faster, and more fuel-efficient. True to the expectations of the LXF line, the South Carolina manufacturer employs top-quality materials and finishes throughout the craft.

One standout feature is the helm, which includes two standard Garmin 8616 touchscreens (with the option to upgrade to three screens). The owner can manage various features of the model using C-Zone digital switching technology, including electronically activated SureShade integrated retractable awnings and articulating rocket launchers. A Seakeeper 3 gyro stabilizer is included as standard.

The 400 LXF also features a unique raised aft-facing lounge seat/electronically convertible leaning post option that includes a Kenyon grill, sink, cutting board, and either ice maker and tackle drawers or a drawer refrigerator.

Highlighting its versatility, the 400 LXF boasts a standard hydraulic portside beach platform with synthetic teak, allowing for safe water access and boarding away from the engines and transom.

Standard inclusions throughout the model comprise port and starboard acrylic transom access doors, gas shock-assisted hatches, flush-mount cleats and rod holders, port and starboard floor fish boxes with diaphragm discharge, a patented powder-coated hardtop with a curved glass enclosure, under-hardtop/under-gunwale LED dimming courtesy lights, and two retractable water hoses for both fresh and raw water.

Inside, the cabin features a single-burner glass stovetop, microwave, a flush-mounted 32” LED flat-screen TV, galley sink, drawer refrigerator, an enclosed shower/head area with a toilet, sink, and a mirror with a vanity cabinet. Stainless-steel accents enhance the entire space, while a convertible queen berth awaits those needing rest after a long day on the water.

With a beam of 12’1” and headroom of 6’3”, the cabin provides ample space for overnight accommodations for a couple.

The base power for the 400 LXF consists of triple Mercury 350XL Verados and starts at $971,000. The center-console model can be customized with twin, triple, or quad configurations with engines from Mercury and Yamaha.

“One key aspect that differentiates our models from the competition is the attention to detail in both fit and finish,” Wallace remarked, adding, “we’ve dedicated time to complete the boat inside and out, filled it with exceptional innovations, and placed it on a high-performance hull.”
