The Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo has unveiled details about two new models set to debut at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival: the SP92 and the SL86A.

Measuring 27.9 meters, the SP92 is the second vessel in the shipyard’s new smart performance (SP) line, following the 33.5-meter SP110, which was featured by BOAT International last year.

This yacht can achieve an impressive maximum speed of 40 knots, with notable specifications including a shallow draft of 1.2 meters and a beam of 7.1 meters. It accommodates up to eight guests and four crew members, with living spaces distributed across four levels. A 45-square-meter beach area is a central design feature, which can be customized with a retractable door that conceals the garage.

On the other hand, the SL86A measures 26.6 meters and signifies a “new evolution in the asymmetry concept,” previously showcased in the SL102 and SL96 models. This asymmetric layout removes the corridor on the port side while maintaining one on the starboard side, allowing for a full-height window that provides ocean views on one side and a living room that opens onto a balcony on the other.

Key features include an open-plan living area on the main deck, which can be customized to include a main salon and a formal dining space at the front. A minimalist aft deck enables the model to sail without a visible staircase, yielding a cleaner exterior appearance and easily accessible ocean vistas.

According to BOATPro, Sanlorenzo has an impressive fleet of 60 yachts either on order or currently under construction.

The news of these two new models comes after the delivery of the 49.9-meter Almax, which will also be making its debut at the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival.

Powered by “green” methanol and fuel cell reformer technology, this yacht represents one of the small but growing number of vessels exploring alternative power sources in pursuit of carbon-neutral cruising.
