We had a conversation with Jamie Bolingbroke, the skipper of Richard Matthews’ 12mR Crusader, about the challenges and pleasures of sailing and preserving this British 1987 America’s Cup boat. It seems particularly fitting that Crusader was competing in Saint-Tropez on the same day Team INEOS secured victory in the Louis Vuitton Cup, earning a spot in the America’s Cup final, just west of here in Barcelona.
