Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta 2024 set to create excitement this weekend

This weekend, October 12-13, the Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta (IOR) will occur at Larchmont Yacht Club, co-hosted by Storm Trysail Club.
The event will feature 41 schools from 19 U.S. states and 3 provinces of Canada collaborating for a distinct offshore sailing experience, offering collegiate sailors a fresh challenge beyond their usual dinghy racing.
This year’s regatta includes 43 boats and 313 sailors, with support from 90 volunteers who will fill positions such as Race Committee and Safety Officers on the donated vessels. The event, organized by the Storm Trysail Foundation and fueled by the generous contributions of club members, sponsors, and partners, remains free for all student participants.
