Cash Berzolla from the US has been the highlight of the season, claiming victory in Morocco earlier this month. He faced an unexpected elimination in the quarter-finals at Ibiraquera, but his previous performance secures him the title even before the competition concludes.

“I’m feeling incredible,” Berzolla shared. “I didn’t perform as well as I hoped in this event, but looking at the bigger picture, I couldn’t be more thrilled to win the overall championship. It’s a left with port winds, which is a bit different for me, probably why I got stuck in the quarters.”

Spain’s Elena Moreno clinched her crown in Brazil with two impressive event wins from earlier tour stops. The small size of the women’s fleet meant she had already accumulated sufficient points even before hitting the water.

“I’m thrilled to claim the world title here in Ibiraquera,” Moreno exclaimed. “This country is fantastic. Honestly, I don’t have many words at the moment. I need to calm down a bit. I’m dedicating this victory to my brother and my family. I’m just overjoyed.”

The Ibiraquera event is still ongoing, and the competition is intensifying as Day 3 unfolds.
