Barton Marine is launching a completely redesigned and engineered lineup of Genoa Cars for the yacht market. This new release for 2025 integrates several years of research and development into a series of products that offer outstanding durability, functionality, and a modern aesthetic for sailors and OEMs around the globe.

Constructed from robust, lightweight aluminium, both pin and towable versions of the new Genoa Cars are available in contemporary Black and Spectro silver finishes, catering to diverse preferences and applications. Options in 25mm and 32mm GT sizes are designed to fit existing track configurations, with a heavy-duty (HD) 32mm option for larger vessels and increased load capacities.

An essential feature for riggers and boat owners is the availability of inserts that guarantee compatibility of the new Barton cars with all industry-standard tracks used in yachts worldwide, eliminating the need to replace old tracks on existing boats when installing new ones.

This new range elevates standards for performance and longevity, utilizing high-grade aluminium anodised for enhanced protection against marine conditions, coupled with corrosion-resistant nylon inserts for long-lasting, low-friction, and smooth operation. The pin-down models are equipped with easy-to-grip plungers that can be operated with sailing gloves or wet hands, while maintaining a sleek, streamlined design that minimizes line snags.

The 25mm cars are best suited for yachts measuring 7-10m (23-33ft), with a maximum breaking load of 2280kg (5016lbs) and compatible with line diameters up to 16mm (5/8″). They weigh only 247g (8.7oz) and 297g (10.5oz). The towable track end with becket accommodates lines up to 8mm (5/16″) and weighs just 121g (4.3oz).

The 32mm cars cater to yachts from 9-15m (30-49ft), with a maximum breaking load of 3280kg (7216lbs) for the GT versions and 5970kg (13134lbs) for the HD models. They are also suitable for line sizes up to 16mm (5/8”) and can handle two lines at once, accommodating various rigging scenarios. Their weights range from 561g (19.8oz) to 820g (28.9oz).
