2024 J/105 North American Championship at Edgewater Yacht Club – Day 2

Lake Erie provided challenging conditions on Friday for day two of the J/105 North American Championship supported by The British Virgin Islands in Cleveland, OH. Winds ranged steadily from 14 to 18 knots, with gusts reaching the mid-20s and waves exceeding six feet.
The Race Committee managed to conduct two races, bringing the series total to five with no discards. Tim Russell’s Ne*Ne claimed the top spot with a 1,4 performance for a total of 15 points. Terry McLaughlin & Rod Wilmer’s Mandate trails closely in second, just one point behind. Bill Zartler’s Deja Voodoo climbed to third place with 21 points.
Russell’s Ne*Ne secured its second win in race four, followed closely by Mandate and The Usual Suspects. In the subsequent race, Zartler’s Deja Voodoo emerged victorious, with Bruce Stone & Nicole Breault’s Arbitrade and Mandate also finishing in the top three.
