The Italian Sea Group announces the launch of the sailing yacht Katana, the fourth vessel in Perini Navi’s 60 m ketch series.
This launch, which took place at the Marina di Carrara shipyard, represents a significant milestone for this ambitious project that seamlessly blends technology, performance, and luxury without compromise. Developed in collaboration with naval architect Ron Holland, Katana is designed to provide a unique sailing experience, prioritizing safety, comfort, and performance.
The yacht features an aluminum hull and superstructure with a displacement of approximately 570 tonnes, and is equipped with carbon fiber masts, booms, and rigging, ensuring maximum lightness and strength. One of its key innovations is the redesigned sail system, which enhances handling ease and optimizes performance at sea.
Furthermore, with a cutting-edge dynamic positioning system, the yacht can autonomously maintain its position and direction without an anchor, providing a safer and more comfortable sailing experience. The interiors, designed by renowned French designer Rémi Tessier, blend modernity and tradition, tailored to meet the luxury and comfort needs of the most discerning owners. The spacious suites, including the owner’s area and five guest cabins, feature understated elegance, with each detail meticulously crafted for maximum comfort.
“The launch of this exceptional 60-meter yacht is a milestone that fills us with pride and underscores the solidity and growth of our Group’s brands. Perini Navi will continue to stand out for its unmistakable style and ability to innovate without forsaking tradition,” stated Giovanni Costantino, Founder & CEO of The Italian Sea Group. “Katana embodies our commitment to excellence and perfection, showcasing the strength and vision of a brand that not only looks to the future but actively builds it with passion and determination.”
Katana is set to be delivered in early 2025.
