Dutch shipyard Zeelander Yachts has launched the first unit in its flagship Zeelander 8 series, named Silver Dawn. Designed by Cor D. Rover, the 23.9-meter model retains the brand’s signature style while emphasizing performance, speed, and comfort.
Silver Dawn is elegantly finished in Porsche rhodium silver with an orange boot stripe, featuring the brand’s trademark curved windows and sunroof to allow natural light in the interiors. The yacht also showcases the shipyard’s distinctive S-shaped sheerline and raked stern.
The interior boasts cream leather, grey linen upholstery, and Macassar ebony cabinetry, all crafted for durability using high-pressure laminate for minimal maintenance.
“The low maintenance requirements ensure that the boat spends more time in use and less time at the dock,” explained Zeelander founder Sietse Koopmans. “This philosophy also extends to our rigorous engineering standards.”
The yacht accommodates up to nine guests in three double cabins, including a full-beam master cabin with an en suite bathroom. There are also crew quarters for three, complete with a separate entrance for added privacy.
On board, the full-length main saloon features a dining area and helm station, while a large tender garage is located aft, designed to house a Williams 395 Sportjet and twin SeaBobs. The aft deck is equipped with padded leatherette seats and a transom that swings open to create a spacious bathing platform above the water.
Other notable features of this model include customizable layouts, a full-beam tender garage, and exceptional handling regardless of the propulsion options chosen.
“We are incredibly proud of the Zeelander 8 project,” concluded Koopmans. “Born out of a loyal client’s desire for a larger yacht, the Zeelander 8 successfully perpetuates the renowned Zeelander aesthetic while significantly increasing interior volumes—without compromising performance.”
At its top speed of 40 knots, Silver Dawn can operate “at full throttle” without exceeding the 65dBa sound barrier.
