Numarine is set to impress yachting enthusiasts, particularly those passionate about eco-friendly boating. At the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, the shipyard plans to unveil its most innovative and environmentally conscious superyacht to date. The event will feature the official world premiere of the 30XP, Numarine’s first hybrid diesel-electric explorer. (All our posts on Numarine, here)
Numarine 30XP
Initially revealed to celebrate the shipyard’s 20th anniversary in September 2022, the model has quickly gained popularity, with four units sold to existing Numarine owners before the first unit’s launch in the coming weeks. The 30XP is also notable as the first Numarine model to offer the option of diesel-electric propulsion.
As with previous Numarine models, Can Yalman has designed both the exteriors and interiors of the 30XP yacht, opting for a raised pilothouse design that maximizes the volume’s efficiency. Ofist Design Studio, located in Istanbul, is the interior design collaborator for this model.
Numarine’s founder and chairman, Ömer Malaz, shared his vision for the interior design of the 30XP. “As the 30XP will be our first diesel-electric yacht, we drew inspiration from a sustainable Scandinavian design aesthetic that emphasizes simplicity, minimalism, and functionality. We aim to create a feel of coziness and home, even when you’re far out at sea.”
Ample Space
With the precise layout of the 30XP customizable to meet the preferences of each owner, there is abundant space for open-air dining on the aft deck as well as on the covered sundeck. The yacht’s design emphasizes a strong connection with the outdoors.
In addition to a private balcony accessible from the master suite—ideal for enjoying the tranquility of surrounding bays—other notable spaces aboard the 30XP include the office area in the master cabin. This space features a spacious study desk facing large windows for an optimal tranquil working environment. Furthermore, guests can benefit from the generous headroom in the semi-open beach club at the stern, achieved by elevating the deck to create a dedicated lounging area located just three steps above the main deck level.
For those eager to venture out on the water, three fold-down platforms expand the available deck space in the beach club to 43 square meters. A side-loading tender bay can accommodate a diesel tender measuring 6.25 meters.
The 30XP can accommodate up to 10 guests in five ensuite staterooms, which include four guest cabins on the lower deck and a master stateroom located at the forward part of the main deck. The master suite features floor-to-ceiling windows and cutouts in the bulwarks to optimize sea views, along with an optional fold-out balcony. Additionally, up to five crew members can be housed on board, with the crew mess and accommodations located forward on the lower deck.
Numarine 30XP Ready for the Sea
Powering the 30XP can be managed through either a diesel-electric hybrid propulsion system or a conventional drivetrain featuring twin 560-hp MAN engines, both capable of achieving a maximum speed of about 13 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots. The 30XP boasts an estimated range of 3000 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.
