This is the first Riva 70 Metri, the largest flagship superyacht in Riva’s history; over 180 years of challenges and successes from the shipyard that has brought elegance to modern yachting. As always, it will be designed by Officina Italiana Design.
Riva 70 Metri: Hybrid Propulsion
Featuring innovative volumes, elegant lines, a steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure, the Riva 70 Metri will be equipped with the latest generation hybrid propulsion, heat recovery technology, and a PTO/PTI system. Significant attention has also been given to onboard acoustic comfort, utilizing innovative solutions to reduce noise and vibration levels and enhance the stabilization system.
An Affectionate Owner
The owner, a loyal Riva customer and a great admirer of the brand, collaborated with the design team to turn a dream into reality, creating a superyacht that, like all recent Rivas, results from a partnership between Officina Italiana Design, the firm founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, the Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.

Riva 70 Metri: Designer Statements
“The sophisticated and extremely selective owner had a very clear vision: to build a timeless yacht with classic lines and a green ethos for cruising in a manner that fully respects the sea. He was inspired by the Riva 50METRI and envisioned a design influenced by it, one that prioritizes aesthetics over fleeting trends and market pressures that often shape new products. We eagerly embraced this challenge, as these values are part of our firm’s DNA and integral to our design philosophy,” stated Mauro Micheli, Chief Designer, and Sergio Beretta, CEO at Officina Italiana Design.
