Taking place from September 10 to 15, the Cannes Yachting Festival consistently showcases one of the world’s most prestigious yacht exhibitions. The event typically features numerous world-class premieres from shipyards eager to unveil their latest designs along Port Vieux and Port Canto. BOAT offers an in-depth look at some of the most exciting debuts of 2024…

Maverick

Builder: Cantiere delle Marche
Length: 44.3m

Sold to a seasoned German owner, Maverick is the first vessel in a series of three Flexplorer 146 yachts. Described as a “true explorer vessel,” it boasts a robust exterior designed by Hydro Tec, a custom-built A-frame crane, and a 22-millimeter ice belt above and below the waterline to ensure safe navigation in high latitudes. For leisure, a large infinity pool is placed on the aft deck, which can be covered and used as storage for deck furniture while in transit. Additional features include a gym, a sauna, and a diving center.

Frette

Builder: Columbus Yachts
Length: 43m

Frette, the second unit in the Atlantique 43 series, closely follows its sister ship Night Fury II, delivered in June 2024. Both the exterior and interior designs are crafted by Milan-based studio Hot Lab, who describe Frette as a “natural synthesis between a motor yacht and a classic sailing boat.” This is best highlighted by the sailing-style stern, which includes a five-meter-long central swimming pool situated just 50 centimeters above sea level. It is named after the famous Italian brand and is elegantly outfitted with Frette linens throughout.

Kasif

Builder: Bilgin Yachts
Length: 41.9m

Kasif is the first yacht constructed at Bilgin Yachts’ new Antalya facility and was commissioned by a returning client of the shipyard. Notable features include a range of over 5,000 nautical miles to support the owner’s offshore fish farming business, along with luxurious burgundy-lacquered interiors, which will surely attract attention at Vieux Port and Port Canto. This yacht marks the eighth collaboration between the shipyard and Emrecan Özgün of Unique Yacht Design, following previous projects such as Tatiana, Leona, and Eternal Spark.

Doge 400GT

Length: 40.4m

Doge 400GT has been promised to a distinguished Italian owner and was last seen publicly prior to her sea trials. Her rugged, explorer-style exterior is designed by Design ALot Studio, while naval architecture is crafted by inNave. All social spaces are seamlessly connected, featuring a formal dining room on the upper deck that opens onto the sun deck, which consists of a bar and swimming pool. A sizable beach club with two fold-out balconies ensures easy sea access for guests. Accommodation is provided for 10 guests, with a master cabin located forward on the main deck that includes an en suite bathroom and a private study.

Multiple

Builder: Overmarine
Length: 39m

Multiple is the inaugural entry-level model in Mangusta’s Oceano series, which also includes the Ocean 39, Oceano 44, Oceano 46, and Oceano 50. Designed as an “ocean-going glass villa,” she features floor-to-ceiling windows in both the main and upper saloons, along with sliding doors creating an expansive indoor-outdoor space across both levels. The infinity pool, positioned at the bow with a partially glass bottom, allows light to filter down to the master cabin below, which also has its own fold-out balcony.

Telli

Builder: Custom Line
Length: 38.8m

Launched in February 2024, Telli is the first unit in the Navetta 38 series. The model was developed to balance the nautical tradition of the Navetta series with a youthful, sporty aesthetic, as described by design studio Citterio Viel. The focus on indoor-outdoor connectivity is evident in the spacious 70-square-meter beach area and the glass-enclosed sundeck, which is an impressive 15 meters long. Accommodation is distributed across five cabins, including a main deck owner’s cabin that measures over 40 square meters.

Fox

Builder: Pendennis
Length: 34.9m

This highly anticipated compact explorer yacht, named Fox, was delivered by Pendennis’ yard in Falmouth last May. The name pays homage to Robert Were Fox the Younger, a renowned 19th-century inventor from Falmouth, known for creating a specialized compass that facilitated exploration, including the discovery of the South Pole. The newly built explorer yacht features interior and exterior styling by Q London, including highlights such as a 103.5-square-meter open aft deck, a DJ station, a glass-walled sky lounge, and a dedicated wine fridge. Accommodation consists of a full-beam master cabin on the main deck and four additional en suite cabins.

AB110

Builder: AB Yachts
Length: 33.5m

The AB110 showcases a sporty exterior and a jaw-dropping maximum speed of 45 knots, marking the first model in a new range designed entirely by Archea Associati. The shipyard reports that the AB110 maintains previous performance standards regarding quiet operation and the absence of vibrations, while enhancing onboard livability and comfort. Though imagery is yet to be revealed, the interiors are described as loft-like, “charming,” and filled with “all-pervading brightness” created by generous glazing on the main deck.

Minella

Builder: Numarine
Length: 30.7m

Minella, the debut hull in Numarine’s 30XP series, will make her world premiere at Cannes. The first Numarine yacht outfitted with hybrid propulsion, Minella features interior and exterior designs by Can Yalman, with a complementary version created in partnership with Istanbul’s Ofist Design Studio. The design philosophy is “inspired by a sustainable, Scandinavian design aesthetic.” Accommodation caters to 10 guests across five en suite cabins, including four guest cabins on the lower deck and a master cabin forward on the main deck.

Super Mario

Builder: Extra Yachts
Length: 30.7m

Super Mario is the fourth unit in the Extra X96 Triplex series, distinguishing itself by adding a sixth cabin on the upper deck and relocating the galley to the main deck. Her “modern and eclectic” interiors, designed by Hot Lab, span four decks and feature operable floor-to-ceiling windows, natural oak, and white Calacatta marble. A beam of 7.6 meters and a hull length of just 23.8 meters categorize her under the CE classification for recreational craft up to 24 meters.

DreamCatcher

Builder: Nautor Swan
Length: 28.3m

Initially revealed in 2021 at a virtual press conference, DreamCatcher was delivered to her owner in July this year. She represents the Finnish shipyard’s first hybrid sailing yacht, showcasing “feminine exterior lines” designed by veteran Swan designer German Frers. Described as a “no-compromise cruiser with a racer’s soul,” her draught is four meters, with options for a shallow draught, telescopic, or performance keel. The warm, classic interiors, created by Misa Poggi, accommodate up to 10 guests, featuring a forward owner’s cabin and four guest en suite cabins.

Acali

Builder: Wider Yachts
Length: 28m

Acali is Wider Yachts’ first multihull offering, designed in collaboration with Luca Dini and built to RINA class standards. The yacht offers substantial interior volume, with highlights such as a dedicated owner’s deck, a large beach club, and a hybrid propulsion system. The owner’s suite features a private foredeck lounge, while the tender garage can be transformed into a spacious swim platform. The 67-square-meter beach club boasts fold-down bulwarks, direct access to the VIP cabin, and discreet water toy storage. The 28-meter composite catamaran accommodates eight guests across four cabins, along with arrangements for a crew of four.

SP92

Builder: Sanlorenzo
Length: 27.9m

The sporty SP92 is the second model in the Italian shipyard’s new smart performance (SP) line, following the 33-meter SP110, which BOAT International visited last year. Initial renderings reveal a split-level saloon, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and a spacious owner’s suite with a separate lounge and glass wardrobe. The yacht accommodates up to eight guests and four crew members, with key specifications including a 7.1-meter beam, a draught of 1.2 meters, and a maximum speed of 40 knots.

Sexy Me

Builder: Otam
Length: 27.8m

As the flagship of the yard’s Fast and Iconic series, Sexy Me is noted for its “big-boat mentality” despite its compact dimensions, measuring under 24 meters in load line. In collaboration with Otam, Giuseppe Bagnardi from BG Design Firm is responsible for the exterior style, incorporating custom elements such as a helm console inspired by Formula 1 racing cars. The Otam 90 GTS series is fully customizable at the engineering level, and Sexy Me is the semi-open variant designed to host numerous guests onboard, featuring a full-beam master suite, VIP cabin, and guest cabin.

80 Veloce

Builder: Cantieri di Pisa
Length: 25.5m

The 80 Veloce, although small, is incredibly powerful, boasting a maximum speed of 60 knots and a sporty, muscular exterior designed by former Bugatti car designer Etienne Salomé. The main communal space is an open cockpit featuring sunpads linked to a semi-al fresco interior lounge area that can be either open or fully enclosed. With a total displacement of only 48 tons and a draft of 1.3 meters, this yacht is ideal for island-hopping adventures in the Bahamas or the Caribbean.

Pearl 82

Builder: Pearl Yachts
Length: 25.3m

The first unit in the Pearl 82 series will also make her world premiere in Cannes this year. This model is positioned between the shipyard’s Pearl 95 and Pearl 72 offerings, showcasing a raised pilothouse design with two aft deck configurations and a semi-walkaround deck featuring a forward master suite and private forepeak terrace. The company claims this model to be the only yacht in its class to offer such a configuration, with Pearl Yachts’ managing director, Iain Smallridge, calling the 82 “the most compact superyacht on the market.” The naval architecture and exterior design are credited to Dixon Yacht Design.

S80

Builder: Princess Yachts
Length: 25.2m

The S80, the flagship of the S Class range, was developed in collaboration with naval architects from Olesinski and Italian design house Pininfarina. It offers a versatile layout that can function as an owner-operated vessel with an open saloon and raised helm or as a “discretely crewed” vessel, complete with an enclosed helm that conceals crew accommodations. Leisure activities are best enjoyed on the 28.7-meter flybridge, designed with multiple seating areas, a wet bar, and barbecue areas. This space also features a convertible dining table and functions as an outdoor cinema with a rise-and-fall television.

Riva 82 Diva

Builder: Riva
Length: 25m

The Riva 82 Diva had a technical debut at a private preview event last year; however, the 2024 Cannes Yachting Festival marks the first public reveal of the new flybridge model. The Italian shipyard claims the yacht aims to “open a new chapter” for the Sarnico-based builder, offering a “revolutionary approach to the use of space” by maximizing outdoor areas while ensuring indoor spaces are wisely designed according to their function. A feature of note in the beach club is the Riva’s first-ever use of fold-down bulwarks, which expands the yacht’s six-meter beam by an additional three meters. A sunpad measuring over 2.5 meters enhances this setup.

GTX80

Builder: Pershing
Length: 23.9m

Designed by the Rome-based studio Vallicelli Yacht Design, the GTX80 is defined by open spaces and “maximum onboard livability.” For the first time in a Pershing model, the stern can transform into lateral terraces, promoting direct sea access. Other innovative features include an optional carbon-fabric hardtop for the sundeck and an open layout for the galley-bar, integrated into the lounge setting and opening onto the cockpit to create a “main hub.” Accommodation is offered across four cabins, along with a cabin for two crew members.

INFYNITO 80

Builder: Ferretti Yachts
Length: 23.7m

The INFYNITO 80 builds upon the “environmental friendliness, unprecedented flexibility, and innovative layout” featured in its slightly larger sibling, the INFYNITO 90. This model includes the return of the popular all-season terrace, protected by an extension of the superstructure for “total privacy and protection in all weather conditions.” However, the new model also introduces significant changes, notably an upper deck that is “totally open,” contrasting with the closed design of the INFYNITO 90. Sustainability is prioritized with outfitting in lamellar teak, regenerated leather, and other recyclable materials. The exterior design is credited to Filippo Salvetti, with interiors designed by IdeaeITALIA.

Solle One

Builder: Nautor Swan
Length: 23.2m

Solle One marks a significant launch as Nautor Swan’s first motor yacht, which will be on display at Cannes. Originally conceived as a chase boat, it evolved during the design phase into an independent dayboat. The walkaround deck design pays tribute to the Finnish shipyard’s sailing legacy, complemented by a 50-square-meter beach club and a top speed of 40 knots, appealing to the motor yacht audience. Accommodation is provided across three guest cabins, along with quarters for two crew members.
