Bass agree

Mercury Marine has secured a new marketing partnership with B.A.S.S. that features a Mercury Concert Series and primary sponsorship of bass fishing events, along with youth and grassroots initiatives.

The specific financial details of the sponsorship deal were not disclosed, but Mercury indicated the agreement spans multiple years.

“For over twenty years, Mercury Marine and B.A.S.S. have collaborated to provide fans with thrilling professional-level events while also promoting bass fishing through the support of high school, college, and B.A.S.S. Nation competitions,” stated Bruce Akin, CEO of B.A.S.S. “The extension of this esteemed partnership demonstrates our shared commitment to ensuring a bright future for bass fishing.”

As part of this new agreement, Mercury Marine will serve as a leading sponsor for significant bass fishing events. These include the Bassmaster Classic presented by DICK’S Sporting Goods, the Bassmaster Elite Series, the Basspro.com Bassmaster Opens Series, TNT Fireworks B.A.S.S. Nation Series, the Bassmaster Team Championship, the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops, and the Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Series presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors.

The complimentary Mercury Concert Series will occur before the Saturday and Sunday weigh-ins at Elite Series competitions this year at Lake Fork, Lake Guntersville, St. Lawrence River, and Cayuga Lake, including the Angler of the Year Championship.

“We are thrilled to have Mercury Marine back as a primary sponsor for the Classic,” expressed Michelle Dauchy, the chief marketing officer of Mercury Marine, in a statement. “We achieved record attendance this year in Knoxville, with over 153,000 fans at the largest fishing event. The Mercury team has crafted fantastic fan experiences and will undoubtedly continue to set new standards to keep bass anglers excited about our sport.”

This collaboration will extend beyond event locations, featuring a strong presence on B.A.S.S. media channels, including Bassmaster Magazine and the Bassmasters television program. B.A.S.S. claims to be the global authority on bass fishing and a guardian of the sport’s culture, boasting more than 510,000 members.
