What would a Gucci Blondie campaign be without the lead singer of Blondie? In a full-circle moment, the renowned Italian fashion label has introduced its Cruise 2025 campaign titled, We Will Always Have London, featuring Debbie Harry, the rockstar vocalist of the iconic American band Blondie.
Gucci’s Cruise 2025 campaignThe campaign was photographed by Nan Goldin—who is celebrated for her deeply personal images capturing American counterculture during the late 20th century—as a tribute to London. In the campaign’s filmic visuals, Harry is portrayed seated in the back of a cab, with a dog beside her and the Gucci Blondie bag on the other side.

Gucci Cruise 2025 campaignThe Gucci Blondie bag emerged as the standout accessory during Gucci’s Cruise 2025 fashion show. Creative director Sabato De Sarno reimagined the classic bag with updated proportions and features, rendering it more elegant and functional, with increased space. The revamped Gucci Blondie bag showcases saddle stitching and a leather handle, highlighting the Italian luxury brand’s commitment to artisanal craftsmanship. This season, the bag comes in a variety of luxurious materials—such as Tuscan leather, suede, or GG Monogram canvas—as well as vibrant colors, including Gucci Rosso Ancora, the brand’s iconic red, and in four sizes: mini, small, medium, and maxi.

Gucci Cruise 2025 campaignDe Sarno has also revisited the Gucci Blondie’s defining feature: the circle logo from the 1970s, which includes two G’s that pay homage to Gucci’s founder. The logo is presented across the latest bags in padded leather or enamelled brass versions.
Gucci Cruise 2025 campaignThe Blondie bag and Debbie Harry of Blondie are the highlights of Gucci’s fresh campaign, along with London itself. The city holds a significant link to the Italian fashion brand; it was in London that founder Guccio Gucci drew inspiration to create his own leather goods line while working as a lift attendant at the opulent Savoy Hotel. A century later, creative director Sabato De Sarno acknowledged that connection with Gucci’s Cruise 2025 collection, presented at the Tate Modern museum in London, with Harry seated in the front row. Truly, Gucci will always have a connection to London.
