The Dutch shipyard Leapher Yachts has introduced a new 49.2-meter explorer yacht model called the NAVIX50.
This model builds upon its predecessor, the NAVIX60, providing a more compact “yet equally capable platform.” The shipyard has worked in collaboration with the Italian studio AB Yacht Design, resulting in a design characterized by geometric glazing, deck overhangs, a high bow, and a sheltered foredeck.
The NAVIX50 will be constructed from steel and aluminum.
“The NAVIX50 embodies our philosophy of creating vessels that excel in any environment,” said Yiannis Andriotis, CEO of Leapher Yachts. “From the Drake Passage to the coast of St. Tropez, this yacht redefines what’s possible in the sub-500GT category.”
Accommodations are available across six cabins, with options for a seventh cabin or a larger skylounge. The main deck cabin can also be transformed into a gym, wellness area, or used as an extension of the owner’s cabin.
Leisure features include the aft deck, which is designed with a 5.5-meter heated pool equipped with a contra-flow system, a sunbathing area, and two wet bars. The model can also accommodate an 8.6-meter and 4.5-meter tender and is designed with a wheelchair-accessible lift.
The NAVIX50 will be equipped with Tier III emission controls, biodegradable antifouling, and an optional Ice Class certification. Full specifications have yet to be released, but it is expected to achieve an impressive range of 5,500 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots.
This announcement follows a construction update on the shipyard’s 60.5-meter explorer, Horizon. Delivery is scheduled for September 2025, when it plans to make its international debut at the Monaco Yacht Show.
