The new Fountaine Pajot 41 will be launched in 2025.

Hot off its presentation at the Cannes Boat Show, the new Fountaine Pajot 41 (11.93 x 6.92 m) currently lacks a name (referred to as “New 41” in technical terms), but we already know a lot about it.

It will replace the smaller Isla 40 and will be available in a “Smart Electric” version with electric propulsion (similar to the Astrea 42, Elba 45, and Aura 51). The design once again comes from the Berret Racoupeau studio, the creators of the French shipyard’s range under Dufour.

Design and Deck

On a catamaran of relatively moderate size, suitable for both coastal weekends and “bluewater” configurations, design is crucial. This is why the designers have worked to maximize horizontal lines to create a sleek effect akin to larger boats, optimizing volume and space.

The deck layout includes the XXL helmsman and elevated maneuvering station already appreciated on all other models in the range: the skipper can access a pod housing all necessary instruments. Guests will find it easy to relax with sun loungers on the bimini, at the front of the roof, plus a “smart” integrated sunbed in the portside transom.

Regarding onboard spaces, each area is designed for comfort. The saloon with three windows fully opens onto the aft cockpit. A large opening panel serves as a service door between the galley and the forward saloon.

Fountaine Pajot 41 – Interiors

Now let’s discuss the various available interior layouts, one of the Fountaine Pajot 41’s highlights. The “Maestro 2” owner version features an owner’s cabin with a private bathroom in the port hull, two double cabins, and a bathroom in the starboard hull.

The “Maestro 3” version differs by offering private bathrooms for guest cabins in the starboard hull. The “Quatour 2” and “Quatuor 4” versions are clearly aimed at the charter market: the first has four cabins (two per hull) served by two bathrooms, while the second features four cabins and four bathrooms.

What remains unchanged across all configurations is the deck saloon with a kitchen and C-shaped sofa that opens seamlessly onto the aft cockpit.

Fountaine Pajot 41 – The Electric Version

As mentioned earlier, the new Fountaine Pajot 41 will be available in a “Smart Electric” version. If you choose the electric option, how does the configuration change? Instead of traditional engines, it will feature two 25 kW electric motors, supported by two 2×21 kWh batteries and a 16 kW generator (plus a 3 kW inverter). The motors’ propellers serve as hydro-generators while sailing.

To extend the electric sailing range, optional features include two 27 kWh batteries, two 3 kW chargers, and an additional 6 kW inverter alongside the existing 3 kW inverter.

The price of the new Fountaine Pajot 41, set for launch in 2025, is not yet available.
