Since 1959, Grady-White has been crafting boats and has introduced groundbreaking designs and advancements in the boating industry over the years.

The Freedom 415, the latest innovation from the North Carolina builder, is being touted as the largest outboard-powered dual console currently for sale, having premiered at the 2024 Miami International Boat Show.

Measuring 40’7” in length with a beam of 13’8”, the Freedom 415 is an impressive vessel, featuring quad Yamaha XTO Offshore 450 outboards mounted on the transom. It appears even more imposing outside the water at the Miami Beach Convention Center, showcasing the company’s renowned SeaV2 hull design.

“This is the largest dual console boat powered by outboards ever constructed; it truly embodies the dual console concept,” stated Shelley Tubaugh, Grady-White’s vice president of marketing. “The first was the 30 (Freedom 307), followed by the 33 (Freedom 335), then the 37 (Freedom 375). This is our next step forward.”

Dual consoles are favored for their adaptability, whether for fishing expeditions or leisurely day trips. Grady-White has ten dual-console models and leveraged that expertise to develop the Freedom 415.

Boarding the Freedom 415 is simple thanks to standard port and starboard doors. The wet bar also serves as a bait preparation area, and the transom features a refrigerator/freezer compartment next to dual raw water livewells. Fishing enhancements include rod holders along the gunwales and four rocket launchers situated on the hardtop. To ensure comfort while monitoring the lines, Grady-White has integrated an elevated, rear-facing air-conditioned padded seat beneath the hardtop.

While the hardtop and fully wrapped windshield occupy a good portion of the cockpit, Grady-White ensured ample room at the stern for fishing activities. Beneath the hardtop—which includes an electric sunroof—designers opted for a laid-back arrangement. To port, the seating can be configured as either a forward or aft-facing lounge, as two benches, or a U-shaped seating arrangement. A 24-inch television has also been integrated into the hardtop.

The helm on the starboard side includes twin adjustable seats with footrests and arms. The dashboard has space for dual 22” displays and controls for essential boat functions.

The dual consoles below deck are surprisingly spacious, with overnight accommodations to port. Grady-White has provided a premium experience featuring custom oak cabinetry with inlays and a woven seagrass cloth wall finish. Full-size double berths both aft and forward can sleep up to four occupants. Amenities in the cabins include a 24-inch television and a microwave.

The starboard console features a complete head compartment with a shower, a vanity, and a cedar-lined hanging locker. Grady-White has maintained the bespoke features such as the cabinets, a hand-hammered nickel sink, and teak flooring.

“A great aspect is that if someone wishes to take a nap, the rest can still use the head without interrupting them,” Tubaugh mentioned.

The expansive bow is fully cushioned, and the two teak tables can be lowered to create a large sun lounging area. Designed with a four-pole easy-up bow shade to provide comfort in the midday sun, the area includes insulated coolers, cupholders, and USB-C charging ports, ensuring that passengers have everything they need.

Fully equipped with standard features, including a Seakeeper 6, the Freedom 415 stands out as Grady-White’s latest flagship dual console model rich in amenities.
