Italian designer Gian Paolo Nari has unveiled a new 43.4-meter explorer yacht concept in collaboration with the Turkish shipyard Aegean Yacht. The superyacht has been showcased in two distinct styles: an explorer named Phobos and a navetta-style yacht called Deimos.
“The initial idea was to create a vessel with great autonomy, featuring a design that eschews unnecessary ornamentation while still maintaining recognizable and distinctive lines,” explained designer Gian Paolo Nari. “I concentrated on simplicity, linearity, and a clean composition, merging horizontal and vertical lines to develop a profile that embodies the unique signature we aimed to achieve.”

Phobos and Deimos were built on the same platform, both offering an identical interior layout with accommodations in five cabins. The full-beam owner’s suite is situated on the main deck and includes a 12-square-meter terrace that offers views on both sides of the vessel.
The two superyachts also feature a 70-square-meter sundeck, which is complete with a lounge area, sunbathing space, Jacuzzi, and an American bar served by a dumbwaiter. Deimos sets itself apart from its sister concept by offering a second pool with a sunbathing area that overlooks the beach club.
The explorer version, Phobos
An aft garage with side-door launch capability is included in both versions, with Phobos, true to its explorer nature, featuring two “open-air garages.” The first is located at the stern, housing Jet Skis and a rescue tender, while one is situated in the forward cockpit that can accommodate a six-meter tender and other toys.
Key specifications include an 8.2-meter beam, a draft of 2.8 meters, and a maximum speed of 15 knots.
