A delegation from the US state of Florida, led by Governor Ron DeSantis, met with various leaders from the Italian superyacht industry in Viareggio this week as part of an international trade and business development mission to Italy.
The visit involved DeSantis and other Florida representatives discussing opportunities with companies like Sanlorenzo, Benetti, and Overmarine – all of which have a presence in Florida – to “encourage an increase in their investments in Florida’s world-class ports and an expansion of their operations in the state.”
During the visit, DeSantis also announced the opening of a new SelectFlorida international trade development office in Italy next year (2025), which will provide information and assistance to Italian companies that are interested in establishing operations in Florida. This new office will join an existing network of 18 SelectFlorida offices across 16 countries worldwide.
