As we mentioned in May, it is now official: the first renderings of the new Lagoon 38 have been released. This marks a continuation of the renewal of the French yard’s catamaran range, following the innovations introduced in the Lagoon 43. Its official debut is expected in March during the Lagoon Exclusive Days and Multihull Show 2025.
What’s New in the Lagoon 38
The new Lagoon 38 features design elements by Patrick Le Quément and the naval architecture firm VPLP. Among the key updates is the mast’s advancement towards the bow, a feature already seen in the Lagoon 43 and 60. This design choice not only frees the dinette from the steel support tube that was located next to the entrance door on the 40-foot model but also creates space on the coachroof for a sun lounger, thanks to the repositioning of the headsail track further forward.

Similar to the 43-foot model, the interiors have also been revamped. The galley has been relocated to the bow, and the external and internal tables can be joined together, creating seamless continuity between the cockpit and the indoor dinette. The end result, despite the smaller size of the boat compared to the 40-foot version, is a singular spacious open area from stern to bow, offering a 360° view of the sea.
