Cosmopolitan Yachts has just launched a thrilling new catamaran.
Named Cosmopolitan 125, this model spans 125 feet, which makes it the largest in the expanding lineup of the Spanish yard that consists of five models. This zero-emission vessel comes equipped with a hybrid solar-electric propulsion system, making it cleaner and more efficient on the open waters compared to conventional diesel-powered yachts of a similar size.
The 125 showcases a lightweight aluminum exterior complemented by sleek and modern design lines. Emphasizing sustainable luxury, the catamaran is outfitted with innovative, eco-friendly materials and cutting-edge green technologies, having solar panels installed on the rooftop, for example. The yard hasn’t revealed exact specifications but claims that the yacht can navigate the sea without emissions, cruising at a speed of 10 knots.
Cosmopolitan describes the multihull as a floating oasis, featuring a remarkable interior volume of 500 GT and nearly 6,500 square feet of deck area. The living spaces are filled with “state-of-the-art amenities and luxurious finishes,” as stated by the yard.
The generous layout incorporates four VIP guest cabins, one owner’s suite with a private terrace, three crew cabins, and a captain’s cabin. The guest accommodations are distributed across the lower and main decks, while the owner’s suite can be situated on either the main deck or the bridge deck. The crew quarters, including the crew mess, galley, and laundry, are located on the lower deck.
The 125 provides more than merely a sleeping space. The main deck hosts a spacious living area featuring a TV and gaming zone, while the upper deck boasts a large dining space and bar. A second bar and gym can also be found on the lower deck. Alfresco lounge areas are located at both the front and rear, while the uppermost deck accommodates a helipad.
One of the highlights of the 125 is the beach club. This innovative area includes expandable terraces that open straight over the water, transforming the stern into what Cosmopolitan refers to as “a private waterfront resort.” This expansive space allows guests direct and effortless access to the sea, making it perfect for sunbathing, swimming, or enjoying cocktails.
Cosmopolitan Yachts was established by Christian Braun and Iván Salas Jefferson in 2021. Situated in Barcelona, the yard focuses on crafting custom aluminum catamarans featuring highly efficient electric propulsion systems. The current range includes four models that range from 70 to 111 feet, along with the exciting new 125.
