In late July, owners of Concept Boats traveled to Bimini for the company’s annual poker run from Florida to the Bahamas.

Over 30 boats participated in the 45-mile journey that started from Key Biscayne, Florida, and converged at the Hilton at Resorts World Bimini. From that point, the boaters explored the islands of the Bahamas.

This year, about one-third of the attendees had never previously boated to the Bahamas. Susan Patterson, the vice president of sales and marketing for Concept Boats, mentioned that they guided the boaters on customs clearance and unique boating locations on the island.

“Lewis Avila (owner of Concept Boats) and I have been going there since we were younger,” Patterson stated. “We aimed to demonstrate how straightforward the trip is.”

Patterson noted that the group encountered favorable weather during the voyage to the Bahamas and over the two nights spent in Bimini. Concept Boats hosted gatherings at the pool, while attendees organized their own activities. Participants in the poker run received a gift bag from Concept Boats.

The builder from Opa-locka, Florida, initiated the poker run 12 years ago to strengthen connections with its customers. About half of this year’s participants had taken part in the run before, according to Patterson.

“Everyone we spoke to had a fantastic time,” Patterson commented. “Our objective was for everyone to enjoy themselves and socialize with fellow Concept Boat owners.”
