Polish catamaran manufacturer Sunreef Yachts has revealed it has sold a third 43M Eco at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The purchaser is a returning client who formerly owned a 24.4-meter Sunreef 80 Power.
“We’re very proud to have a client go completely eco,” stated Sunreef CTO and co-founder Nicolas Lapp. “We are already discussing with other customers [about the 43M Eco]. Interest in sustainable yachting is on the rise. This is the direction we aimed to pursue, so we’re pleased to see the market concurs.”
The first unit was sold in late 2022 and will become the world’s largest electric catamaran upon delivery.
The vessel’s hull, superstructure, and rigging incorporate integrated solar panels that provide the yacht with 250kWh of energy every 24 hours. An advanced hydro-generation system will also generate “clean power” for emission-free cruising and “infinite range,” according to the shipyard.
Accommodation is for 12 guests, including a master cabin featuring a private office and direct access to a lounge area at the bow.
Leisure highlights consist of an “ocean lounge” that links the aft deck to the swim platform, forming a unified space for waterside relaxation. This region is highly customizable, allowing clients to add a massage room, a bar, or a fitness area. An inconspicuous aft garage is also conveniently located for tender and toy storage.
Another sun lounging option is available on the flybridge, set up with a spa pool, sunpads, a bar and dining area, along with an outdoor cinema.
This announcement follows the introduction of a smaller model in the shipyard’s sailing catamaran series, the 35M Eco.
