Rossinavi has declared that it will unveil its “most innovative project” yet, Seawolf X, at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show. The 42.8-meter hybrid-electric catamaran was delivered in August 2024 and is currently navigating the Saronic Islands in Greece, as reported by BOATPro.

The exterior design comes from Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design, marking their first collaboration since the 49.1-meter Aurora in 2017. Additionally, this represents Rossinavi’s inaugural multihull project.

Construction of Seawolf X was revealed to have commenced at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2022.

A defining feature of this model is her three “performance scenarios.” During single-day excursions, Seawolf X can operate in full-electric mode continuously; on multi-day voyages, she can use electric mode for 90 percent of the time, and during transatlantic journeys, she still operates in electric mode for 80 percent. When moored, a “hibernation mode” engages to minimize consumption, allowing the generated energy to be returned to the quay or a private property. She can recharge at the dock within five hours and generates enough energy to power an entire villa.

Rossinavi has also introduced an onboard AI system called Rossinavi AI, designed to analyze the vessel’s operations, anticipate guest needs, and inform the crew about “lower-impact behaviors” and “conscious cruising.” The AI also monitors the battery levels to maintain them within a 20 to 80 percent range.

The catamaran is designed to stay under the 500GT limit, featuring a beam of 13.8 meters and a maximum draft of two meters.

Her exterior design is sleek and reminiscent of a sports car. Fulvio De Simoni Yacht Design aimed to “free their minds from traditional concepts” of catamaran design. The team has also integrated solar panels into Seawolf X and improved hull efficiency through “lightweight solutions,” including a beautifully designed anchor that adheres to weight requirements.

Meyer Davis, a design firm based in New York, has crafted an interior that “enhances the state-of-the-art yacht, combining relaxed luxury with sustainable design,” as stated by the shipyard. The decor draws inspiration from natural elements, particularly the sun, sea, and sand.

The catamaran was launched in May 2024.

Leisure features include a sociable cockpit with a pool, a spacious sundeck for sunbathing and lounging, and a bow area with a concealed pool and convertible home theater. Accommodations are provided for up to 10 guests in four cabins situated within the hulls.

“After years of design and construction, it’s a source of pride and satisfaction for us to see the launch of project Sea Cat, now Seawolf X, the first hybrid-electric multihull vessel,” stated Federico Rossi, COO of Rossinavi at that time. “This yacht embodies significant technological advancements in power management and propulsion technologies, signaling the beginning of a new era in next-generation vessels.”

Seawolf X also embodies the BlUE label, a “sustainable” design philosophy introduced by the shipyard in 2022. Drawing inspiration from phytoplankton, the BlUE fleet captures sunlight during the day and uses photovoltaic technology to transform it into energy, which is stored in advanced batteries and released at night, producing a bioluminescent effect “similar to glowing plankton.”

Seawolf X is open for charter with Cecil Wright, starting from €380,000 per week.
