At the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, during the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, Benetti showcased its latest innovations that embody the spirit of the shipyard, referred to as “The House of Yachting”.
CEO Marco Valle highlighted the significant achievements realized by the group in 2023-2024, with revenues reaching EUR 1.3 billion and a backlog amounting to EUR 2.6 billion, which set the stage for an anticipated growth of 15 percent in the upcoming yachting season. This objective is supported by a EUR 160 million investment plan aimed at enhancing the company’s strategic goals for the three-year period of 2025-2027.
Benetti’s B.Loft project brings a modern residential ambiance to a megayacht. This notable milestone has been accomplished with the impressive outcomes provided by Benetti, which currently has an order backlog of 58 units totaling 30,900 GT, as per Benetti sales director Daniela Petrozzi.
Sustainable Lifestyle Concept
The shipyard crafts the brand’s innovations around the idea of a sustainable lifestyle, integrating future-oriented research with the deployment of the best and most effective current solutions.
It has launched advanced electrification systems that can reduce fuel consumption by up to 20 percent and claims to offer the broadest hybrid selection in the market, with 90 percent of models available in hybrid or diesel-electric configurations.
There is also a strong emphasis on minimizing energy use. Power management systems aimed at optimizing onboard electrical loads, heat recovery mechanisms, and the application of direct expansion air-conditioning technology can decrease onboard service consumption by as much as 40 percent.
The B.Yond 57M is crafted for conscious explorations of pristine areas. The group has established a partnership with the international carbon-neutral efficiency firm ENI, and the ensuing utilization of HVO biofuel for all shipyard activities has slashed CO2 emissions by 1,000 tons annually. HVO, which is compatible with the entire Benetti fleet, can reduce well-to-wake emissions by nearly 90 percent when used as the onboard fuel.
Additionally, the shipyard installs selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems as standard for yachts under 500 GT, even though this is not mandated by law for this category. Benetti estimates that this choice decreases NOx emissions by 2.5 tons per yacht each year, allowing its yachts to be utilized in marine protected zones, as stated by Benetti General Manager Massimo Casoni.
Also, during the Monaco Yacht Show 2024 last week, Benetti’s Head of Product, Sebastiano Vida, and the designers involved unveiled the new B.Yond 40M and 57M, Motopanfilo 45M, and B.Loft projects.
B.Yond, The Voyager Line
Benetti revitalizes the B.Yond line, establishing a highly environmentally-friendly series of yachts in the category, benefiting from collaborations with Igor Lobanov for the exterior design and Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture for the interior layout, presenting two distinct concepts for the identities of the new 40M and 57M.
Models in the B.Yond line illustrate an ‘explorer vibe’ while maintaining the classic sophistication of Benetti yachts, where the white hull contrasts strikingly with a grey superstructure to convey both strength and elegance. This range is designed for leisurely exploration voyages in untouched areas, made feasible by the cutting-edge technology installed onboard by Benetti and the hybrid-electric system, which minimizes environmental impact.
