For the first time at the Bushwhacker Cup, Vakaros RaceSense technology will support the fleet, representing a groundbreaking, innovative tool that has revolutionized the yacht racing experience. RaceSense transforms the on-water experience by significantly decreasing general recalls, removing the necessity for pinging, and reducing dependence on U and Black flags. This technology enables regattas to conduct a greater number of high-quality races, enhancing fairness and enjoyment for all sailors.
PYC is acclaimed for its outstanding race management and a dedicated team of enthusiastic members, solidifying its position on the Melges 24 racing calendar as a genuine haven for sailors. Competing in Pensacola provides an ideal mixture of elite competition with a warm, vibrant atmosphere that PYC embodies so well. In fact, for the U.S. Melges 24 Class, it has been selected as the venue for the 2025 U.S. National Championship, scheduled for November 14-16.
This weekend’s event will officially close the 2024 North American Sailing Series. Canada’s Dan Berezin on Surprise currently leads the overall Open and Corinthian standings, followed by 2024 U.S. National Champion Geoff Fargo on Sentinel in second place, and Bora Gulari’s Kingspoke in third.
