Boot and “The Foiling Organization” present “Foiling World”, the new area at Messe Düsseldorf exclusively for foiling technologies, infrastructures, products, and services.

From January 18 to 26, “Foiling World” will display cutting-edge foiling technologies, providing boot attendees and exhibitors the chance to engage in discussions, lectures, and informative sessions about the latest trends in foiling, the new era of sailing, and sustainable water mobility.

The new dedicated foiling section in Hall 15 will feature two foiling simulators designed specifically to train AC main, Women and Youth teams, as well as private owners and professionals participating in the new circuit of the AC40, the world’s fastest one-design. This innovative equipment, made by McConaghy Boats, will be available thanks to “Emirates Team New Zealand” and “AC Team Germany” for anyone who wants to hone their skills.

Foiling World will be established by The Foiling Organization with support from prominent global foiling sports and industry figures, including some of the top sailors, yacht clubs, and race organizers like Secumar, BirdyFish, Waka Foils, Candela, foil.one, MW40OF, and Bluegame.

Throughout the event, The Foiling Organization will offer an extensive schedule of conference sessions featuring Luca Rizzotti (Founder and President – The Foiling Organization) and Rowan Gyde (Foiling World Project Manager – The Foiling Organization).

The new area at Messe Düsseldorf will also feature a photographic exhibition showcasing 100 foiling images by renowned sailing photographers.

A permanent eSports arena will be available in partnership with Svenska Seglarförbundet (Swedish Sailing Federation) for visitors and exhibitors. Up to 30 competitors can challenge each other both on-site and remotely during a three-day event to become the undisputed eSports Foiling World Champion. Workshops and tutorials will help newcomers to gaming, along with expert commentary on transitioning skills from eSports to real sailing. The group phase will occur on January 20, with semifinals on the 23rd and finals the following day.

Petros Michelidakis, boot Director, stated: “Our collaboration with The Foiling Organization is a highlight in Sailing Hall 15. Situated in the new Sailing Plaza, ‘Foiling World’ showcases this pioneering technology, which is currently elevating competitive sailing and enhancing its appeal. We’re thrilled to have Luca Rizzotti and his team onboard. Luca will also present at our visionary forum ‘blue innovation dock’ in Hall 10 discussing ‘Digitization and New Technologies’ on boot Friday. Through its partnership with The Foiling Organization, boot Düsseldorf continues to set standards for the future and reaffirms its role as a catalyst for the sailing industry.”

The Foiling Organization aims to accelerate networking in the global foiling industry, designed and promoted by the We Are Foiling events ecosystem. Its Founder and President, Luca Rizzotti, remarked: “Participating in boot confirms the value of our insights and the efforts made with all partners. Foiling is transforming waterborne mobility and is becoming an essential choice for new leisure and commercial applications.”
