Xpagoda: Revolutionizing the World of Luxury Superyachts

Xpagoda introduces a game-changing superyacht platform, redefining luxury design, charter experiences, and eco-conscious yachting, while balancing financial and environmental sustainability. Its name is Xpagoda, a creation by yacht designer Stefano Pastrovich, who introduced this extraordinary concept in collaboration with GMDesign&Service, Chartwell Marine, and Wolf at the recent Monaco Yacht Show.

What stands out is the cohesive creative vision that underpins the entire Xpagoda project. Xpagoda challenges traditional charter models, offering a revolutionary experience of exclusivity with modular designs and bespoke configurations. This new and revolutionary charter superyacht platform, modular and highly adaptable, offers numerous customization options—from the configuration of guest suites and cabins to the complete personalization of public spaces.

Xpagoda

The Xpagoda’s catamaran hull and pillar structure redefine luxury charters, delivering a spacious profile with overhanging decks that combine aesthetics and functionality. Its fully-aluminum structure has been developed by naval designer Chartwell Marine, in consultation with the Rina Classification Society, adhering to codes for 12-36 passengers. The innovative choice of aluminum not only significantly reduces weight and draft for shallow water access but also allows Pastrovich to streamline the propulsion system, enhancing its efficiency.

The meticulous attention to detail is truly remarkable. The pillar structure of Xpagoda opens up the spacious interiors to panoramic views. The overhanging decks — reminiscent of a pagoda — provide shade over the windows, improving visibility and reducing air conditioning demands and cleaning frequency. All interior décor materials have been carefully chosen for a premium experience of natural elegance, featuring fine woods and cotton-linen upholstery.

Designed for mooring in exclusive marinas and shallow waters, Xpagoda ensures an unmatched luxury experience, immersing guests in stunning seascapes worldwide.

Xpagoda has been designed to enhance access to unique superyacht experiences, making them available to a broader audience: high-net-worth individuals often referred to as the millionaires next door. According to data from multinational consulting firm Capgemini, this untapped segment comprises 19.5 million individuals with purchasing power ranging from $1 million to $5 million. While they may not have the means to purchase a $59 million superyacht or charter one for around $300,000 per week, they are willing to spend $2,000 per person per night for a luxury suite on a boutique charter that offers the complete superyacht experience.

Measuring 59 meters, Xpagoda accommodates 20-30 guests across luxury suites and economy cabins, catering to Gen X travelers seeking flexible, high-end vacation experiences. Steering clear of crowded spaces, they seek shorter cruise experiences without the inconvenience of long days at sea. Xpagoda allows them to savor the exclusivity of a destination while others depart.

Xpagoda

Unlike traditional superyachts that typically feature large master suites and smaller guest cabins, all of Xpagoda’s suites provide ample space and luxury. Furthermore, its airy public areas are not designed for a single group of friends, as is usual with superyachts, but for multiple couples and groups seeking intimate leisure opportunities. Xpagoda naturally integrates high-class amenities, including sauna, wellness and massage facilities, a gym, and multiple pools and bars. Xpagoda features modular flexibility and serial production techniques, merging cruise ship efficiency with superyacht styling and premium finishes.

Xpagoda’s unique design seamlessly integrates with its environment, featuring a sea-level bathing platform that blends into the sea. Its goal is to provide the richest possible experience of exploring the planet from the sea, fostering a true sense of place in the world’s most coveted destinations.

Xpagoda is designed to unlock innovative boutique charter opportunities, blending luxury with strong earning potential and investment appeal. Pastrovich even presented a tested business model based on a traditional cruise company framework, assuming a 300-operating-day year with 5+5 months at 80% occupancy and a cost of $2,000 per person per night. The results indicated an EBITDA of 25%, which could rise to 35% with a fourth yacht. This clearly showcases Xpagoda’s substantial earning potential for a fleet of 1 to 4 vessels operated by a diverse range of potential buyers. This includes private owners, charter operators, boutique resorts, cruise companies seeking a high-end addition to their voyages, co-owners, fractional management companies, private clubs, and real estate funds.
This is why Xpagoda presents an exceptionally attractive opportunity, both as an experience and an investment.
