On Tuesday, December 3rd, leaders Charlie Dalin on MACIF Santé Prévoyance and Sébastien Simon on Groupe Dubreuil have effectively navigated the light winds ahead of tomorrow’s storm in the Vendée Globe, while Yoann Richomme on PAPREC-ARKEA encountered light winds as he sails north to position himself for the incoming low-pressure system.
We examine the tracker and routing options through PredictWind to explore the best strategies for the fleet to optimize wind utilization while avoiding the most intense winds, which could exceed 50 knots at times, accompanied by large seas.
