It was quite the spectacle during Sunday’s racing on Sydney Harbour featuring the 18ft Skiffs.
The commentary team estimated the seabreeze at over 18 knots—it seemed significantly stronger as the race progressed. The conditions were such that the harbour was almost free of other vessels aside from the usual ferries, allowing the skiff sailors to enjoy the open water.
The day’s excitement included impressive nosedives, thrilling rides, leaps above the water, and outstanding boat handling skills.
