Conrad Colman was raised in New Zealand, attended both High School and College in the United States, and then quickly moved to Europe after falling in love with the Vendée Globe.
Well-traveled and possessing extensive experience across various domains, Conrad is adept at multitasking, which greatly benefits his solo offshore sailing endeavors!
This marks his second participation in the Vendée Globe; he previously competed in the 2016/17 edition, where he completed the last 740 miles to Les Sables d’Olonne using a jury rig after losing his mast.
He is once again competing with a completely fossil fuel-free vessel, relying solely on renewable energy. In the 2016/18 edition, he became the first skipper to finish the Vendée Globe without using fossil fuels.
