The eagerly awaited 36th edition of the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) is set to highlight the most impressive vessels and marine products Australia has to offer during one of the boating world’s busiest weeks.
Applications for exhibitors are now open, with a priority registration period for returning exhibitors to secure their preferred spots.
SCIBS 2025, the largest and most beloved marine lifestyle showcase in the Southern Hemisphere, will take place from May 22 to May 25.
“We anticipate an even bigger and better show building on the achievements of the 2024 event,” stated Mulpha Events General Manager Johan Hasser. “We have already seen significant interest from exhibitors keen to take part.”
Over 43,000 boat and marine lifestyle fans are expected to attend, making it an ideal platform for marine exhibitors to connect with qualified buyers and network with industry contacts.
This year’s SCIBS featured 334 exhibitors, showcased 767 boats—setting a record with 356 vessels in the water—and displayed over 2,500 marine products.
“The 2025 event will feature an expanded area and an enhanced experience for exhibitors that will meet the increasing demand from industry participants and boating enthusiasts,” said Mr. Hasser.
Revamped Pavilions at the main entrance will provide 2,325 square meters of indoor exhibition space, improving the overall visitor experience.
The Lagoon Beach Club will return as the core hospitality hub of the event. Sponsored by Gold Bullion Australia, it is situated within the beautiful grounds of the 5-Star InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort, offering a unique venue for relaxation and networking amidst the Show’s excitement.
“The Lagoon Beach Club is a fantastic venue for connecting with fellow marine enthusiasts at the event, offering guests a true taste of the superyacht lifestyle,” remarked Mr. Hasser.
He noted that the Boat Show team is thrilled to further improve networking opportunities in the industry through a dedicated Industry Lounge hospitality suite and the popular International Business Lounge, which is proudly backed by the Queensland Government. “We are the venue where marine business thrives,” he adds.
SCIBS significantly contributes to Queensland’s economy, generating an impressive $445 million for the local market. This includes $431 million from direct sales and an additional $14 million from visitor spending, underscoring its vital role in enhancing economic vitality and serving as a key event for the marine industry and local growth.
As Brisbane prepares for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Mulpha Australia is substantially increasing its investments in marine and tourism sectors. Major developments include the expansion of superyacht facilities at the Sanctuary Cove Marina. This expansion introduces 25 new berths for superyachts, greatly augmenting SCIBS’s capacity and solidifying its reputation as Australia’s largest on-water showcase. This strategic upgrade aims to draw more international attendees and industry professionals, further enhancing the local economy and the event’s worldwide profile.
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of the action and experience the Southern Hemisphere’s favorite marine lifestyle showcase at the 36th Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
