The Italian shipyard Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has delivered its unique 42.6-meter explorer yacht named Babbo, following her launch in July 2024.

The exterior design was developed in collaboration with Francesco Paszkowski, while the naval architecture was designed by Hydro Tec. Key specifications include an internal volume of 499GT and an 8.7-meter beam.

Featuring a steel hull and a cruising range of 5,000 nautical miles, Babbo is capable of sailing in extreme conditions and reaching remote destinations. The yacht is powered by two robust Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, which are compliant with IMO Tier III regulations, allowing for a top speed of 14 knots.

The interiors have been designed with an “indoor/outdoor” philosophy, prominently utilizing glass in both the main and upper deck salons. The upper deck features a bright and airy glass-enclosed veranda, providing a seamless connection to the sea.

On the main deck, there are four double suites for guests located towards the front, along with two twin cabins on the lower deck. The lower deck is equipped with four crew cabins and a captain’s suite located near the wheelhouse, in addition to a spacious galley, crew mess, and laundry facilities.

The first Flexplorer, named Aurelia, won a World Superyacht Award in 2021.
