Sharrow Marine is introducing its cutting-edge propeller technology for high-horsepower outboard motors. The firm has launched the brand new Sharrow XO Series propellers, specifically engineered for high-performance, large-diameter hubs compatible with V8, V10, and V12 outboards.
The Sharrow XO is designed for outboards with horsepower ranging from 350 to 600, a sector previously constrained by conventional propeller designs. Whether it’s for a performance boat or a sport center console, Sharrow Marine now has propellers available for nearly all outboard manufacturers and horsepower specifications.
“We are fulfilling our commitment to offer precision-engineered Sharrow Propellers that are customized for the leading large gearcase motors in the industry,” stated Greg Sharrow, the founder and CEO of Sharrow Marine. “The Sharrow XO will enhance our clients’ boating experience by providing the speed, efficiency, and superior experience they seek on the water.”
Sharrow propellers are said to provide a cruising range that is 30 percent longer, a quieter sailing experience, along with enhanced low-speed handling and docking capabilities. The company claims that their propellers are as much as 30 percent more fuel-efficient at 2,500 to 4,000 rpm, while also allowing the boat to plane at lower rpms.
The Sharrow XO is offered for the Yamaha models with 350, 425, and 450 horsepower, with a lead time of 120 days. Sharrow is currently accepting pre-orders for the V10 and V12 outboard propellers from Mercury Marine, which are anticipated to begin delivery in early 2024.
“High-performance, high-horsepower boats will no longer have to settle for standard prop designs that are merely ‘good enough’,” Sharrow remarked. “Now, boaters can enjoy a new world-class standard for propellers that incorporates the Sharrow Marine difference, catering to everything from 150 to over 600 horsepower.”
The Sharrow XO Series includes a 12-month damage coverage and the company’s Sharrow Customer Care.
Headquartered in Detroit, Sharrow Marine has long provided the Sharrow MX model, which is compatible with outboards ranging from 150 to 450 horsepower.
The Sharrow Propeller is currently available for the leading outboard manufacturers: Yamaha, Mercury, Honda, Evinrude, Suzuki, Johnson, Nissan, OXE, and COX.
