Singh highlighted the vast opportunities for water sports in Uttar Pradesh and mentioned that significant progress is being made to enhance this sector. He also emphasized that tourists from all over India and the world will soon have numerous activities to enjoy in the state. With the introduction of open catamaran boats, visitors will soon be able to experience refreshing water trips while enjoying the picturesque views of Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura.
In the meantime, Mukesh Kumar Meshram, the Principal Secretary of the Tourism and Culture Department and Director General of UP Tourism, shared with OT, “Uttar Pradesh has launched the UP State Waterways Authority to tap into the extensive potential of our river systems. The Ganges, which flows from Bijnore to Ballia through 27 districts, along with many perennial rivers in the state, supports our move towards water transportation, sports, and cruising. This initiative is environmentally friendly, sustainable, and cost-effective, making the most of our natural resources for various and beneficial applications.”
