During this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival, the Turkish shipyard Bering Yachts proudly unveiled the BC80, a 24-meter catamaran recognized as the largest in its category. It complements the existing models, the 18.9-meter BC60 and the 21.3-meter BC70, providing owners with two unique configurations: a traditional flybridge version and a solar-powered eco-friendly design.

The flybridge variant transforms conventional yachting, featuring a spacious 82-square-meter flybridge along with an impressive solar array covering 1,000 square feet. This advanced system can generate over 20 kW of energy on sunny days, allowing for prolonged periods at anchor without needing generators.

On the other hand, the solar-powered option caters to eco-conscious explorers. It includes a large solar panel setup, a high-capacity lithium-ion battery, and an innovative “kick-saving” system that reduces generator reliance, enabling up to 24 hours of serene cruising without engine noise.

Featuring a generous 10.8-meter beam, the BC80 delivers an impressive interior layout that offers guests a premium three-deck experience. The main deck has 2.4 meters of headroom, while an upper deck complements the flybridge version. The lower deck serves as a comfortable retreat. Owners can opt for accommodations ranging from four to six cabins, including a luxurious master suite located on the main deck.

The standard layout also provides a forward-placed galley on the main deck, with guest cabins strategically situated in the sponsons to enhance privacy and reduce noise disruptions.

Powered by twin Volvo Penta engines, the BC80 reaches top speeds of 15 knots while cruising comfortably at 10 knots, ensuring both performance and luxury for its passengers.

Bering Yachts designs and manufactures semi-custom, steel-hulled expedition and luxury trawler yachts ranging from 20m to 45m. Bering Yachts employs over 200 skilled craftsmen in its state-of-the-art shipbuilding facility in Antalya, Turkey.
