Twin Vee PowerCats has unveiled a new 24-foot PowerCat to commemorate its 25th year of boat manufacturing.

The 240 CC is the first newly released model from the Fort Pierce, Florida, manufacturer in several years. After Joseph C. Visconti acquired the company in 2016, his focus has been on modernizing the existing models in the Twin Vee lineup. With much of that work now finished, Visconti aimed to introduce a dual-engine model to mark the company’s milestone.

The 240 CC is derived from the company’s popular 310 PowerCat. Visconti mentioned that customers were looking for a twin-engine catamaran that was easy to transport and budget-friendly. Using an in-house CNC 5-axis router, Twin Vee successfully applied the same hull specifications to both the 24-foot and 31-foot models.

Twin Vee’s latest model offers the smooth and stable ride characteristic of twin-hull boats. Measuring 24 feet in length and 8 feet, 8 inches in width, the 240 CC is suitable for fishing, cruising, or entertaining.

Featuring one of the broadest bows in the boating industry, the 240 CC provides wraparound seating with removable cushions, two 110-quart storage boxes, and cupholders. Adjacent to this is a front console seat that includes a 20-gallon cooler.

The 240 CC comes equipped as standard with an anodized aluminum Weblon Soft Top, which shields the console and the side-by-side helm seating. An optional fiberglass T-top is available, complete with an anchor light, map reading light, spreader light, rocket launchers, an electronics box, and outrigger pads.

The console features a lockable storage space that can be utilized as a changing area or for storing larger items. This storage area also allows quick access to electronics and fuses.

Twin Vee optimizes the deep hull design by including 30-gallon fish boxes in the deck on both the port and starboard sides of the center console. The vessel also features a standard 36-gallon livewell and a 10-gallon insulated cooler box.

Powering the 240 CC PowerCat are twin 115-hp Suzuki outboards mounted on 12-inch engine brackets, maximizing transom space and performance. Access to the cockpit is provided through a starboard side walk-through with an entry door.

The transom boasts an oversized livewell and an additional cooler, both of which are insulated for enhanced versatility for anglers. To facilitate a refreshing swim, Twin Vee has included a stainless-steel boarding ladder.

The starting price for the well-equipped boat is approximately $70,000. Additional features like the interior LED lighting package and upgraded hardtop will increase this price.

Since its inception in 1994, Twin Vee has produced over 7,000 boats. Visconti noted that when he assumed the role of CEO of Twin Vee in 2016, the company’s emphasis had shifted away from quality and finish and was falling behind in design.

Visconti reorganized the management and shifted manufacturing, such as marine upholstery and hatches, in-house. After refreshing the company’s other four models, Visconti focused on launching the 240 CC.
