34 regulator center console

Garmin electronics will be standard on every Regulator Marine offshore sportfishing center console beginning with the 2020 model year, as announced by the companies on Monday.

The electronics will be included as standard on all Regulator boats ranging from 23 to 41 feet, including the new Regulator 26XO center console crossover, which was introduced during Regulator’s dealer meeting held from July 23-25.

“It’s a true honor to have Garmin electronics included on every new Regulator boat coming out of the factory,” stated Dan Bartel, Garmin’s vice president of global consumer sales, in a press release. “Both Garmin and Regulator have a deep commitment to creating and engineering products without compromise, and we’re confident that our award-winning electronics onboard will fulfill and surpass the needs of Regulator customers.”

Regulator will be installing the GPSMAP 8600 chartplotter series as standard on models over 28 feet featuring dual 16- or 17-inch displays. Each boat will also include a Garmin VHF marine radio. Regulator has chosen additional electronics such as the GMR xHD2 open array radar series and the award-winning Reactor 40 Hydraulic Autopilot equipped with SmartPump. Multiple fishing and convenience upgrade packages will be available, allowing customers to select further electronics to meet their preferences.

“We are privileged to offer what we consider to be the finest electronics available today to our customers. Each new 2020 model year Regulator will feature a standard Garmin electronics package. Our customers desire quality and innovation, and based on our extensive collaboration, we know Garmin is the perfect partner,” said Joan Maxwell, president and co-founder of Regulator Marine, in a press release.

Founded in 1988, Regulator Marine provides eight center-console models that are manufactured in Edenton, North Carolina.

Garmin, recently recognized as Manufacturer of the Year for the third consecutive time by the National Marine Manufacturers Association, stands as the leading manufacturer of marine electronics worldwide. Beyond chartplotters and touchscreen displays, Garmin owns marine brands such as FUSION Entertainment and Navionics, which specializes in premium navigation charts.
