Recently, CTS Custom Trailers, a company dedicated to crafting high-quality trailers for some of the world’s most esteemed boat brands, has revealed two important appointments in its leadership team.
Jon Smiley and Ronnie Moran, both former leaders at MYCO Trailers in Florida, have joined CTS, with Smiley taking on the role of vice president of sales, while Moran assumes the position of director of operations.
Smiley brings more than twenty years of experience in the marine sector, covering areas such as watersports rentals and marina management. He will be charged with directing the sales and marketing strategies for CTS Custom Trailers, which is located in Muscatine, Iowa. Smiley collaborates closely with the company’s owner, Jason Curry, who is also an enthusiastic performance boater and the owner of a Marine Technology Inc. V-42.

Moran has close to 20 years of specialization in the custom boat trailer industry, previously holding the vice president of sales position at MYCO before her transition to CTS Custom Trailers. She will oversee the daily functions at CTS, including office administration, logistics, purchasing, and quality assurance.
Moran will work in partnership with CTS’s General Manager, Lakin Curry-Thoren, to guarantee that the trailers produced meet the utmost standards of craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
Curry, the founder and owner of CTS Custom Trailers, expressed enthusiasm regarding the new appointments to the team.

Founded in 2022, CTS Custom Trailers operates as a division of Curry’s Inc., which has been involved in selling heavy-duty trucks and trailers since 1998. The manufacturing facility in Iowa spans 30,000 square feet and employs nearly 60 staff members. CTS Custom Trailers specializes in fully welded aluminum C-channel trailers and cradles.
The trailer manufacturer counts Concept, Fountain, Nor-Tech, Doug Wright, and MTI among its initial customers.
“We have the capacity, skilled workforce, and the ability to significantly expand our operations as we develop,” Curry said.
