Cantiere delle Marche has seized the occasion of the Cannes Yachting Festival to reveal a new 31.1-meter explorer series called RAW (Recreational All-Weather Watercraft). The first unit has already been sold, with plans to expand into a complete range.

The new model features an exterior designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta, characterized by geometric lines and a vibrant orange overhang and bootstripe. Key specifications include a seven-meter beam and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots, with RAW described as a “powerful, honest, direct explorer” by the shipyard.

“My team and I have observed a growing trend towards more informal, exploration-oriented yachting,” explained Cassetta. “RAW provided an opportunity to create a rugged explorer with remarkable features for its size. We aimed for [the model] to embody that powerful, commanding appearance an explorer requires, while also being enjoyable and playful.”

RAW includes several functional features that embody its explorer DNA, such as the capability to accommodate drones and helicopters, storage for up to two five-meter tenders in the bow, and the external placement of ventilation trunks to maximize indoor space.

While interior renderings have not been disclosed, the accommodation is planned to include five guest cabins and three crew cabins. The large aft cockpit is envisioned as the main social hub, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors transforming the area into a veranda suitable for all seasons. The aft deck offers an open-plan layout connecting the cockpit to both the main saloon and the beach area.

Additionally, the swim platform is designed as a “panoramic balcony” featuring a low bulwark and a handrail. Access to this area is via a staircase that can also serve as an informal lounging spot with recessed seating or additional storage.

The recessed seating (or storage) can be observed on the starboard side.

The sundeck has two possible configurations: the first is dedicated solely to water toy storage and drone landing operations, with sofa seating positioned forward. The second leans towards a more traditional layout featuring sun loungers at the rear, a bar, an al fresco dining table, and a lounge area.

The model is powered by twin Caterpillar engines, achieving a maximum speed of 13 knots.

This announcement follows a series of summer launches and deliveries for Cantiere delle Marche, including the 44.3-meter Mat, the 42.6-meter B2, and the seventh Darwin 86. The shipyard’s first Flexplorer 146 model, Maverick, is currently making its debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.
