At the Miami International Boat Show, Stingray Boats unveiled two new center-console models designed for both novice boat buyers and those looking for a more premium option.

The South Carolina manufacturer introduced the 173CC and its new flagship 273CC model, which is the largest vessel produced by the company. Both boats feature Stingray’s innovative Z-Plane hull design, enhancing performance while maintaining excellent handling.

Though the 273CC won’t begin production until July for the 2023 model year, Stingray Boats aimed to showcase the center-console at the international event in Miami. The model impressed visitors, particularly with a base price of $196,750 featuring twin Suzuki DF200 outboards. Other power options are available from Mercury Marine and Yamaha, offering up to 600 horsepower at the transom.

With a compact beam of 8’6”, anglers can easily navigate the center-console boat. Features like an aerated livewell, dual insulated fish/storage compartments, and a freshwater system for post-fishing clean-ups are sure to please fishing enthusiasts.

An optional Gemlux Deluxe Outrigger package can be added to the durable hardtop, and the rear-facing seat may be upgraded to serve as a livewell. The helm comes standard with a Garmin 1243 display and transducer along with a Fusion audio system, while a glass windshield protects the captain and passengers from the wind and rain.

Stingray has included a compact head compartment beneath the console featuring a toilet and a freshwater sink. Located just ahead of the console is a lounge designed for one or two individuals equipped with fold-down armrests.

Targeted at first-time center-console buyers, the new 173CC showcased at the Miami Boat Show starts at $35,342 with a Suzuki DF90 outboard. Considering the current new boat market, the 173CC is a rare and budget-friendly option.

The 173CC is packed with standard features, including an aerated livewell, illuminated gauges, a 68-quart cooler/storage compartment with an overboard drain, a Fusion RA-60 audio system, stainless steel rod holders, and a removable windshield. Buyers can enhance the dashboard with display options from Garmin, Yamaha, Suzuki, or Mercury Marine. An optional blue LED underwater lighting package adds a touch of luxury when moored at the dock during evenings.

The base engine is the Suzuki DF90, with an upgrade option for $2,500 to a Yamaha VF90LA outboard or a Mercury Marine 90CT outboard.

Measuring 17’3” with a width of 7’6”, the 173CC offers significant space efficiency. The boat can accommodate up to seven people, with every inch being optimized for storage or lockers. Given that the 173CC will likely function as both a fishing vessel and a family tow boat, Stingray has made an optional ski-tow package and enhanced stereo system available.

The compact console features a portside entry and can include an optional Porta-Potti with a dockside pump-out capability. This is a valuable option, particularly for families with young children. A small seat in front of the console contains a cooler underneath that can serve as a livewell if required.

Stingray Boats stepped into the center console and deck boat sector several years ago, propelling the company to new heights. With the introduction of the 173CC and 273CC, it’s clear to see why they have experienced such growth.
